Job Description and Duties

The Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) is the governing body of the Department of Labor that regulates unions' activities in the State of San Andreas, responsible for conducting and arranging union recognition elections and union presidential elections; ensuring the legitimacy of union recognition elections, union presidential elections, and strike ballots, and the monitoring of employees, employers, and labor unions' behavior to ensure they do not violate the San Andreas Labor Relations Act 2021. As an investigator, you will also monitor employees, employers, and labor unions' behavior to ensure that all partied abide by relevant State laws; and you will engage in the process of arbitration in the event of an employer, employee, or labor union violates the provisions of the San Andreas Labor Relations Act 2021. You will work closely with other departments, including the Office of Planning and Special Projects under the Department of State, tasked with carrying out the duties of tentatively vacant government positions.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of applying.
• Must possess a valid drivers license within the State of San Andreas and have a meaning of self-transportation.
• Must be familiar with general office procedures and possess exceptional customer service skills in a professional office setting.
• Must possess a valid degree from a state-recognized academic institution OR be a student with ONE year left in their studies in a state-approved academic institution.
• Must have good attendance and be punctual and professional.
• Must be able to work both independently and in a group or team setting.
• Must maintain accurate records, pay strict attention to detail, and communicate effectively with the public as well as all levels of staff.
• Must maintain fluent communicative skills within the English language, both written and verbal.
• Must be willing to learn about the inner workings of the State, as well as the laws of the State.
• Must not have been charged and prosecuted for any misdemeanors and/or felony crimes.
• Relevant employment or academic experience is preferred.

The San Andreas State Treasury designate a single salary schedule for all entry-level positions for the relevant position, GS-4 to provide delegated departments flexibility within an established salary cap, discretion to establish salaries above the approved levels.

Conditions of Employment

This is a full-time, permanent position. Employment in all positions is dependent upon the mutual consent of the Office of Labor-Management Standards and the employee. This means that either OLMS or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will with, or without, cause.
